The other reviews are consistent with my experience. You try to cancel, but the only way is to call. So after dealing with waiting and insisting over and over you don't want to cancel and nonsense offers to suspend the service (the car was totalled?), you still get a surprise bill later. I had a free 3 month subscription with my car over a year ago. I opted not to renew - there simply weren't many stations that I enjoyed to make the cost worth while. Cancelled last year because we rarely used the service. I told them this on the phone and they still tried to keep me on the service. They made me an other offer. I said to the why would I pay for something I don't use. Since then we have gotten a half dozed solicitation calls on my cell phone. I had a 3rd "radio" activated to my corporate account and after an hour (who knows how many reps) the supervisor told me my "wife" approved it. I am not married! And whoever called in is not on the account or on my company credit card. Not feeling real good about XM right now. This is plain fraud! I can't even get an explanation from anyone. Called and cacelled service before December 24 2015. This is the date my free xm radio expired. Called again February 02,2016 after getting another bill. They say they have no record of me calling To cancell before today. Total lie. They pro rated the bill which for 1 month and a week is 25 dollars . I will not pay them. I have XM radio on three vehicles. I never give them a CC because of online reviews. I received an invoice from them dated Jan 19 2016 for one of my subscriptions. I got the invoice on January 27, 2016. On January 30 I got an email stating that I have a balance due. On Feb 1, 2016 I started to get phone calls about my bill. Historionics - I became an xm customer before the merger. In 2010 my kids bought me a new radio. I upgraded my account at that time to a "lifetime membership" that I paid for (over $600 at the time). I feel your pain. I called three times to cancel my service and was put on hold each time for 20-30 minutes then hung up on. When I called the fourth time and became a raving *** they finally cancelled my service in about 3 minutes without ever putting me on hold. I purchased a lifetime subscription back in 2008 and was told I could transfer it from the vehicle to vehicle or I would have kept it on a portable device and just moved it to each vehicle I now have a brand new car that they will not activate the radio on Add comment

I am pretty sure every SiruisXM customer has had this experience of auto-renewal. In my case I have a car at the end of its lease and did not want to renew. 30 Minutes later SiriusXM actually finally understood. What a waste of time.
