Sirius Xm Radio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Bought new vehicle & subscription cancelled
I lost my one year promotional subscription when I purchased a new vehicle and received new free 3 months with a credit on account. After 3 months when my free subscription ended, I attempted to reactivate, which didn't work because my original subscription was cancelled. Sirius owed me 4 months service, from original purchase, yet said they only offer 3 or 6 months subscription packages. This meant my credit which was worth 4 months would be consumed over 3 months resulting in the loss of 1 month service, and I would have to pay additional to remain whole on annual basis. They would not offer to extend my extend my original promotional subscription and wanted to short change me and get more money. I didn't ask to have my service cancelled because I bought a new vehicle. Nevertheless, I cancelled everything and requested full refund of the credit on account. The customer service person was not negotiating in good faith relative to my original annual subscription. Don't buy this product. Additionally, the sound quality is terrible.
Sirius Xm Radio - Subscription Review from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Got 3 months free with the purchase of a new vehicle. Paid for 9 months of service only to be told they only had record of 6 month and no record of receiving my payment for the otjer 3 months. Sent them credit card statment that included confirmation number and they still refused to refund my money or acknowledge i made the payment. So i cancelled when the subcription they found payment for expired. Now I have them calling me once a week trying get me to renew. No chance in *** that's ever gonna happen. Its not the money was only $35, its the rudeness of the customer service reps. Who kept telling me they never got my receipts that I sent repeatedly via emails and fax from work and from home.
Sirius Xm Radio Subscription Review
I purchased a lifetime subscription back in 2008 and was told I could transfer it from the vehicle to vehicle or I would have kept it on a portable device and just moved it to each vehicle I now have a brand new car that they will not activate the radio on
Sirius Xm Radio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Frustrated trying to cancel XM service
We have had XM radio in one of our cars for years and have generally enjoyed the service. After a recent move, however, we drive a lot less and decided that it wasn't worth the $175+ to keep it. Of course our service auto-renewed, and I tried to cancel it using their web site. You can conduct almost any transaction on the site except canceling. I found that frustrating, so I replied to a couple of the e-mail notices saying I wanted to cancel. No reply from that. I got another bill and finally called yesterday. Once I selected cancel from the automated options, I was on hold for over 10 minutes until I finally got a person. He was fine, but said I would still be getting an invoice for $25 for the service through yesterday. I said I wouldn't pay it and he said they would send it to a collection agency. This is really obnoxious. They deliberately make it hard to cancel, then bill you for the delay caused by their own policies. There's no excuse for this kind of crappy customer service.
Unable to cancel service. We tried to cancel Sirius Radio three years ago. They've continued to charge our credit card each year. We call each time we see the charge on our credit card. Their records and note taking are always incomplete. Our cancellation request...Read more
Sirius Xm Radio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - DO NOT USE XM/SIRIUS RADIO!!!!
We have prepaid our XM radio twice, which was required for service. We just went to attach a new radio to our account and were told we owed $120. We spent over 3 hours on the phone with customer service. We were hung up on, and spoken to very rudely. They kept asking us for a credit card number. DO NOT GIVE THEM A CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT!!! After three hours we FINALLY spoke to someone who spoke English and wiped our account clean. We have loved having XM in the car, and looked forward to having it in the semi, but it is not worth the customer service hassle.
I was convinced to buy a lifetime SIRIUS subscription on a leased vehicle, with the promise of the ability to transfer it to other leased vehicles up to three times at no charge. Guess what? That's not true at all. In fact, when I called to stop the service on my OEM...Read more
