Sirius Xm Radio - Review in Television/ Radio category from Houston, Texas
Well, I paid for the lifetime plan some 10 plus years ago, as those of us that have portable receivers know, they get abused on these bumpy highways so I had to buy another receiver, Sirius SOLD me the receiver and when I call to have it activated, they tell me I've reached my limit of transfers of 4. I also have a paid plan in another vehicle but when it runs out, they've got their last dime from me.
Sirius Xm Radio in Houston, Texas - Horrible customer service
So I got the traffic option a few months ago. They added the cost but never pushed the service to my car. So I called them to get a refund. They admitted it was their error and charged me $5 to process the refund. I paid my bill, they didn't do their part and NOW they want to charge me because they have horrid service. I can't wait until my subscription is over. NEVER ORDER THIS, when you call customer service very few people actually speak English and when I complained about the charge the girl said...Oh well, that is the way it is!!!! What kind of comment is that. What happened to good service???
Sirius Xm Radio in Houston, Texas - Problem
I agree with most of the posters here that Sirius XM has a lousy way of handling billing. However, they tell you right up front that it will automatically renew unless you call to cancel. What to do then? For the last five years, I have been calling about a month before my renewal date and asking for the cheaper rate, which is 6 months for $24.99 for the Select Plan (just about everything without Howard Stern). If you don't call, they'll charge you or bill you. Next, don't put a credit card on file, but pay with a Sirius XM gift card, that you can buy from bestbuy.com. This method will require a 'paper bill', which is $2.00. If you call a month before, they can't charge you for the paper bill, because you called before they could send the bill. I know, I know, it's a lousy way of doing business, but it takes less than 10 minutes on the phone every six months. A small 'price' to pay to get a very discounted price for great radio.
I didn't like
- Idiotic billing practices
